Opening the bins

To open a bin, first press the desired bin icon to unlock the bin. The bin icon will turn green, indicating that it has been unlocked.

To remove the bin, grab the bin handle and pivot the bin out. The bin handle is designed to be held by either the right or left hand.

Depending on the configuration of the settings, the supply bin may automatically unlock when one of the six bins is unlocked (see Device Settings).

If the supply bin does not automatically unlock, it can be unlocked by pressing the “Supply Bin” icon. To open the supply bin, grab the handle at the top of the door and pull down. Once opened, the supply bin door acts as a shelf for preparing medications. The bins are designed to fit securely on the supply door when opened.

Closing/Reinserting the Bins

To close a bin, reinsert the right side of the bin behind the flange in the cassette. Pivot the bin into the closed position. To close the supply bin, rotate it upward into its closed position.

Other notes

  • Multiple bins can be unlocked/opened at once by pressing multiple bin icons.
  • Bins and the supply door may be reinserted/closed even after the cabinet is locked.
  • When a bin is unlocked, the Remove Cassette icon is disabled (see Removing the Cassette).
  • As an accessory, Grey bins can be purchased for use. These bins are the same size and fit into the system in the same way. However, these bins are deemed “Controlled Substance Bins” and have a double-locking feature equipped. The second lock is a mechanical lock and requires a key (see Controlled Substance Bins).
  • When a Bin is stocked with a medication (see Bin Configuration), there is an extra step to complete before unlocking the bin (see Dispensing Medications).
