Administration Menu

The Administration Menu can be accessed from the Administration icon on the top right corner of the screen. This icon also includes a drop down menu that allows access to the same features included in the administration menu. The Administration Menu looks as follows:

This menu provides the following options:

  • User Administration
  • Facility Maintenance
  • Location Maintenance
  • Cabinet Maintenance
  • Facility Drug Maintenance

Hierarchy of Administration

The hierarchical structure in the cloud follows the order of (from top to bottom) Company – Facility – Location – Cabinet. This hierarchy follows an umbrella-type structure. This means that a company may have multiple facilities that fall under the company name or multiple locations within a facility.

Detailed Structure

Company

At the company level, all of the users can be managed. This means that when a user is added, they will appear across every facility, location, and cabinet. However, although users are managed at the company level, they are assigned access to specific cabinets at the location level.

Facility

All drugs are assigned and managed at the Facility level of the hierarchy. This means that if a company has multiple facilities, the Facility Drugs may differ between facilities. Additionally, any location within a facility (if there are multiple), will have the same assortment of drugs that may be added to a cabinet within that location.

Location

Although users are created at the Company level, they are assigned access privileges at the location level. This means that users within a company must be assigned to specific locations in order to have access to any cabinets. Additionally, once a user is assigned to a location, they will be given access to any of the cabinets within that location.

Cabinet

The cabinet level of the hierarchy consists of individual cabinets. At the cabinet level, facility drugs may be assigned to specific bins (from the cabinet itself) within a cabinet and the firmware can be updated. However, it is recommended that all cabinets be updated with the latest firmware version available at all times. Users may also be assigned to cabinets at the cabinet level.
